Established in 1962 the Southport Lions Club supports our community in Southport and surrounding areas. Lions share a core belief; to serve their community; with the main purpose to encourage service-minded people to serve their community without personal financial reward and to encourage efficiency and promote high ethical standards in commerce, industry, professions, public works, and private endeavours. Southport RFC - Senior U18 Head Coach, James Cook thanked Southport Lions Club for their support of the Colts. James said:- “The support from the Southport Lions Club has been excellent. The aim at colts’ rugby is to transition all the players into adult rugby, as ultimately, we want to keep players engaged in the game. Our player-centric approach to giving our players the best coaching, kit, and opportunities will hopefully allow us to achieve this and we extend our thanks to the Southport Lions Club for their part in the journey of so many young people at Southport RFC. The waterproof tops will remain in the kit bag and will be used on matchdays for the players at Colts level for the next three seasons." Next up for the Colts is a HOME GAME against Crewe on:- Sunday, 26 February 2023. Kick Off is:- 2 pm.
