Liverpool Paints the Town Green for 10th Annual St Patrick's Day Parade

LIVERPOOL City Centre preparing for a massive wave of celebration as the 10th Annual St Patrick's Day Parade officially takes to the streets tomorrow:- Tuesday, 17 March 2026.

Marking a decade of the modern tradition, this year's anniversary event is expected to be the largest to date. Organisers, Fields of Éire, have promised a vibrant spectacle featuring 3 full marching bands, traditional Irish dancers, and a variety of community floats.

A spokesperson for the event shared their excitement for the milestone:- "We look forward to welcoming the whole City. You are all invited to join in the festivities as we celebrate Liverpool's Irish connections and fill the streets with Irish pride."

Participants will begin assembling at:- 2 pm at the Old Irish Centre on Mount Pleasant. The procession is scheduled to officially set off at:- 3 pm, winding through the heart of the City Centre.

To help you plan your day or your commute, here is the confirmed route for the 2026 procession:-

 

  •     Start:- Old Irish Centre (Mount Pleasant)
     
  •     Great Orford Street
     
  •     Hope Street
     
  •     Upper Duke Street
     
  •     Berry Street
     
  •     Renshaw Street
     
  •     Ranelagh Street
     
  •     Hanover Street
     
  •     Seel Street
     
  •     Finish:- Slater Street


Motorists are advised to expect minor traffic disruptions and potential delays throughout the afternoon as the parade progresses. Key areas around Ranelagh Street and Concert Square are expected to be particularly busy. Public transport users should check for local bus diversions that may be in place during the event.
