THE multi award-winning Sunnyside Guest House in Southport has been honoured with another prestigious title at the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards - 1 of 3 it was recognised for! 

The stylish, welcoming and sustainable venue, on Bath Street in Southport town centre, won the Independent Tourism Business of the Year title.

Sunnyside Guest House was also celebrated as a Finalist in 2 further categories - Accessible and Inclusive Tourism Award and International Tourism Award.

It was a brilliant night for Sefton businesses at the awards. 

The Bold Hotel on Lord Street was named Small Serviced Accommodation of the Year.

Southport Flower Show,  Southport Food and Drink Festival and Salt and Tar Music Weekend in Bootle were Finalists for Event or Festival of the Year while The Bus Yard in Crosby was a Finalist for Independent Tourism Business of the Year.

The prestigious Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards ceremony, held at Liverpool Cathedral was hosted by BBC Radio Merseyside presenter, Kevin Duala.

The event honoured the individuals, businesses and organisations whose work has welcomed thousands of visitors over the past year.
