FORMBY Cycles, a long-established bike shop serving Merseyside for more than 3 decades, has announced it will close its doors following a final 3-week closing down sale.

Based in Formby, the well-known cycling retailer has supported riders of all levels for over 30 years, offering expert advice, servicing and a wide selection of bikes and accessories for the local community.

To mark the end of an era, the store is now launching a 3-week closing down sale, giving customers the opportunity to purchase bikes and cycling equipment at discounts of up to 50% off while stock lasts.

Over the years, Formby Cycles has built a loyal following across Merseyside thanks to its knowledgeable team and extensive range of products, supporting everyone from 1st-time riders to experienced cyclists. The store has offered a broad selection of road, mountain, hybrid and electric bikes alongside accessories, clothing and repair services.

The closing down sale provides a final chance for customers to visit the store, take advantage of significant savings and say goodbye to a business that has been part of the Region’s cycling community for more than 30 years.

Customers are encouraged to visit the store early to secure the best deals as stock will be available on a 1st-come, 1st-served basis.

Phil Harvey, Store Manager at Formby Cycles, explained:- "Formby Cycles has been a huge part of the local community for more than 3 decades and it’s incredibly sad for us to be closing the doors after so many years. We’ve met thousands of customers along the way, from families buying their children’s 1st bikes to dedicated cyclists who have supported us for years. However, the cycling industry has changed significantly in recent years, and the wider retail landscape has become increasingly challenging with rising costs and shifts in how people shop. It ultimately became the right time for us to step away. We’d like to thank everyone who has supported Formby Cycles over the years and invite customers to visit us during our closing down sale as we say goodbye.”
