Connell Court Care Home in Southport honoured among North West's top 20 care homes

CONNELL Court Care Home in Southport has been honoured among the top 20 Care Homes in the North West. 

The home, on Weld Road in Birkdale, was recognised in the 2026 carehome.co.uk awards.

Based on reviews from residents, families and friends, these awards celebrate the homes that consistently deliver exceptional care experiences.

A Connell Court Care Home spokesperson said:- “We are incredibly proud to receive the Top 20 Care Home Award, ranking in the Top 3 out of 1,784 homes in the North West, and the best home in the Southport area. This prestigious award reflects our unwavering commitment to providing outstanding care and support to our residents. As a home we are truly happy and incredibly proud of what we have achieved. At Connell Court our ethos is simple: we place residents at the heart of everything we do. This recognition motivates us to continue striving for excellence and to maintain the high standards that our residents deserve.”

Anna Harvey, Home Manager said:- “Our hard-working and dedicated team are at the core of this achievement. Winning this award has been a tremendous morale boost for the entire team. We would like to thank our wonderful team, our residents and families for their continued trust and support. We are looking forward to celebrating our 50th anniversary with a Garden Party on:- Saturday 4 July between 2pm and 4pm where we will be able to acknowledge 50 successful years of providing person centered care in the community.”

In October, Connell Court Care Home marked a very successful 1st year under new ownership with a special celebration event enjoyed by residents, families, and staff.

The 1st birthday celebration took place on:- Friday, 24 October 2025, with special guest Julie Lawson BEM, Deputy Lieutenant of Merseyside. 

In 2024,  Connell Court became part of the Crestview Care family, with the new owners making substantial improvements to the home’s facilities while retaining everything that makes it so loved by residents.

This year Connell Court is celebrating its 50th anniversary.

Established in 1976, Connell Court is a purpose-built, 37-bedroom residential care home with a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

Residents are supported to live fulfilling, independent lives with shared living and dining areas that foster a strong sense of community. The home offers a full programme of activities, outings, and events, alongside personalised care and support.

Crestview Care was founded by experienced care and housing specialists alongside family-oriented investors. Their shared vision is to deliver a compassionate, person-centred approach that strengthens the bond between residents and staff and ensures the highest standards of care.
