Warning - Abnormal Load Notice
MERSEYSIDE Police are giving advanced warning to motorists of an abnormal load which will be moved through Merseyside on:- Sunday, 1 March 2026, from:- 8am.
Merseyside Police have said:- "Due to the load, which is a transformer unit, weighing more than 200 tonnes, it must follow a prescribed route and will be travelling at approximately:- 10mph throughout the journey that will pass though:- Sefton Council, Knowsley Council, Liverpool City Council, National Highways. The load is expected to take approximately 4 hours to move through the route." The route will be as follows:- Crosby Road South. Derby Road. Leeds Street. New Islington. Low Hill. Edge Lane. Broad Green Road. Bowring Park Road. Chelwood Ave. Childwall Valley Road. Naylors Road. Wheathill Road. Tarbock Road. Cronton Road. Tarbock Island. A5300 to Speke. (See Map) COMMENTS (0)
