Stagecoach expands matchday bus services for Everton test event

STAGECOACH, the UK’s leading bus operator, will operate 3 dedicated matchday bus services for the latest test event at the Hill Dickinson Stadium this weekend.  

The 3 services - 918 from Kirkby, 919 from Liverpool City centre, and 939 from Bootle bus station - are designed to provide reliable, convenient, and affordable transport for supporters travelling to the new ground at Bramley-Moore Dock. 

They will operate this Saturday (9 August 2025), as Everton conclude their pre-season schedule with a 3pm kick-off against Italian side, AS Roma. The 1st Premier League fixture at the Hill Dickinson Stadium will take place at 2pm on Sunday, 24 August 2025 against Brighton and Hove Albion FC.  

Each route offers a direct connection to the stadium, helping fans from across the region to reach the ground with ease. The 918 services will begin operating three hours before kick-off, with the 919 and 939 operating from 2 hours before kick-off.  

Return journeys available from 10 minutes (919 and 939) and 15-20 minutes (918) after the final whistle. 

Ticket Information:- 

Adult single fare:- £2 
Adult return fare:- £4 
Young person day fare (MyTicket):- £2.20 
Group ticket (return for four adults):- £12 
Payments accepted via the Stagecoach app, contactless, or cash 

Simon Tramalloni, Interim Operations Director at Stagecoach Merseyside, said:- “We’ve listened to passenger feedback from the 1st 2 test events and are proud to offer an enhanced network of services for the final fixture before the Premier League kicks off. Our 918, 919, and 939 services are all about making travel cost-effective, efficient and accessible for Evertonians across the Liverpool City region. Don’t let parking, traffic and long walks spoil your matchday experience, simply hop on one of our services and enjoy the build-up stress-free.” 

These services will form part of Stagecoach’s ongoing matchday travel offer as the club transitions into its new home at Hill Dickinson Stadium, on the banks of the royal blue Mersey.
