Letter to the Editor:- "Brave corporal rebuilding his life after RAF."
"AFTER 12 years of service, including tours in:- Northern Ireland, Iraq, and Afghanistan, my military career was abruptly cut short in 2015, when I began to experience rapid hearing loss in my left ear. It was devastating when I left the Armed Forces. I'd joined the RAF at 19, and suddenly I had to start again. Bitish Gas showed me that my skills were transferable, and I've never looked back. Joining the Pathway was the best thing I've ever done. I retrained as a smart meter engineer, despite never having so much as paid a gas bill before. Now, 10 years on since leaving the forces, I'm am now a fully qualified electrician. I would like others within the services who are about to leave they also take the same leap and come through the British Gas Armed Forces Pathway. There is life after the forces, and British Gas Armed Forces Pathway is just one of them, but for me it's been the best choice I have made." Anthony Williams, a former Royal Air Force Regiment Corporal, from Liverpool,
