Have you seen any 80th VE decorations on any property?
IF you go into Southport today, you might be in for a surprise... Birkdale Park Nursing Home in Southport, managed by Forces Veteran Jonathan Cunningham, has rolled out the bunting, banners, and flags for the impending Victory in Europe Day on:- 8 May 2025.
This is a fantastic display outside that can be seen by people heading in and out of Southport, along Lulworth Road (A565). The location even has large VE letters standing up within the grounds. Jonathan said:- "We could not see such an important day without a fitting visual celebration to respect our forces 80 years ago. We owe them so much, also huge thanks to all our wonderful staff who have all assisted with our events too."  Another fantastic decoration can be found in the garden of a house on Seabank Road in Southport. This property is well known for putting up fantastic displays throughout national and international celebrations and commemorations.
