Appeal for information following road traffic collision involving a police vehicle in Liverpool
MERSEYSIDE Police have issued an appeale for information and witnesses following a road traffic collision on:- Sefton Street, at the junction of:- Hill Street, Liverpool, on:- Sunday, 2 March 2024.
We are told that the collision happened at around:- 9.10am involving a Police vehicle (Skoda Kodiaq) and a Ford C-Max Zetec. It is reported that the Police vehicle, had been on blue lights and sirens responding to an emergency call at the time of the collision. It is also reported that the male driver of the Ford was taken to Hospital where he is currently in a serious, but stable condition. The driver of the police vehicle was checked over, but was not seriously injured. A police dog being carried in the police vehicle was also checked over by a vet, but was not injured. Merseyside Police have said:- "We are appealing for anyone who was in the area of Sefton Street, at around:- 9am, on:- Sunday, 2 March 2024, who might have saw the collision, or believes they captured something significant on their dashcam to contact the Roads Policing Team on:- 01517775747, or email then at:- SCIU@Merseyside.Police.UK."
