Panorama 'The Southport Attack'
TONIGHT, the BBC is broadcasting interviews with some of the victims who were attacked last July in on the documentary program Panorama. This will include an interview with a 13 year old girl who was helping to run the class when Axel Rudakubana stabbed her. It will also include an interview with the Yogo Teacher, whose class it was. She was nearly killed, being stabbed 5 times as she desperately tried to save the children. This interview marks the 1st time the victims have been able to speak publicly, but we would like to remind everyone that the victims, including those interviewed, are still grieving. The children's identities are hidden to help protect them. These interviews are part of their long road to recovery, and even though they have spoken on TV, it doesn't mean they have recovered. It will be a very long road to recovery. All those taking part in this program are again showing just how strong and brave they all are. They hope it will help tackle some of the fake news and misinformation that is still being circulated online in connection to this. This includes some very distressing conspiracy theories. Please keep vigilant and flag any fake news or misinformation being put out in connection to the stabbings. The program's title is:- 'The Southport Attack" and will be aired at:- 8pm tonight (24 February 2025) and then available on the BBC's iPlayer.
