NORTH West Training Council (NWTC) and Hugh Baird College have joined in partnership to offer new training and education opportunities for people across the Liverpool City Region. 

The 1st set of courses offered is a trio of free welding courses for adults in the Liverpool City Region. To qualify for a free place, applicants must be a resident of the Liverpool City Region and aged 19 or over. This will need to be confirmed prior to starting the course. These courses will be taught at NWTC's state-of-the-art engineering centre in Vauxhall and will last for up to 10- weeks, providing individuals with a comprehensive introduction to the world of welding.

The 3 Level 1 introductory welding courses are open to all adults aged 19 or over in the Liverpool City Region, and include:- Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG), Metal Inert Gas (MIG), and Manual Metal Arc (MMA) welding skills. They’re suitable for those who are interested in gaining skills that could boost their career or simply add to their skill set.

The courses are also available to employers who are interested in upskilling their employees in welding. The programs have been designed to be accessible and flexible, with day release options available.
