Steve Rotherham has been reelected as the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority Mayor

THE Liverpool City Region Mayoral Elections have concluded with Steve Rotherham being re-elected as Mayor. This was a clear win for Steve Rotherham. This is his 3rd successive win, making Labour the only party to have held the role since he was 1st elected in 2017.

The results have seen:-
  • Steve Rotherham (Labour) getting:- 183,932 votes.
     
  • Jade Marsden (Conservative) getting:- 27,708 votes.
     
  • Tom Crone (Green) getting:- 26,417 votes.
     
  • Rob McAllister-Bell (Liberal Democrats) getting:- 21,366 votes.
     
  • Ian Smith (Independent) getting:-11,032 votes.

This was a very low turnout of 23.2%.

We are now waiting for the Merseyside Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) results as counting has now started.
