A huge, 1st of its kind house music event is coming to Liverpool and it will be broadcast live to millions of listeners globally. Iconic house music radio station, Centreforce 883, are bringing a host of top notch DJs to Liverpool for the 1st time to celebrate their birthday in style!

The ground-breaking event is happening at WAV on 23 June 2023, from 9pm, and will be broadcast live to Centreforce’s 16 million listeners across 192 different countries. Centreforce titans Billy Daniel Bunter, Jason Herd, Andy Manston, Alex P, Master Pasha and Pasha will be tearing it up alongside local legends, The Zoo and Hour Glass DJs.

The legendary radio station from East London first broadcast on 8 May 1989 and have since developed a formidable reputation for being the birthplace of some highly influential DJs and record labels. Originally a pirate radio station during the acid house and rave era of the late 80’s early 90’s, it has become a staple diet for electronic music fans globally.

The historic event is taking place at WAV, the underground venue that hosts some of the best nights in the city, and is being hosted by Liverpool’s own Hour Glass Records. Centreforce will be bringing some top names to Liverpool for the first time — alongside some of the best local talent from The Zoo and Hour Glass Records such as Mean Feet, A Guy Called Terald and Chris Sillitoe.

Centreforce Radio became the ‘1st 7 day rave station’ and cemented itself as a pivotal part of the scene, promoting all of the big M25 raves of the time such as Genesis, Energy, Sunrise, and Biology. Regular DJs on the station included Roger the Doctor, Kenny Ken (Players Kenny), Danielle & Rochelle, DJ Randall, Keith Mac, Gary D, DJ One, Corporation Dave, DJ Huggs, DJ Connie, Hermit, and Jazzy J.

The night at WAV will include the likes of Alex P, who started Space Terrace Ibiza — setting the island alight alongside Brandon Block. The former owner of Velvet Rooms in London hosted many famous nights including Carl Cox’s legendary Ultimate Bass and he is now a DJ/Presenter on the world’s No. 1 house music station, Centreforce Radio 883.

The huge, 1st of its kind house music event is coming to WAV on Glegg Street in Liverpool, L3 7DX, on 23 June 2023 from 9pm. The event will showcase Centreforce DJs alongside local DJs from The Zoo and Hourglass Records and will be broadcast to millions globally via Centreforce Radio 883.
