Celebrating Castle Street Programme:- 1st details released of special programme to showcase City streets
ON Sunday, 3 August 2025, the 1st of 3 summer events celebrating Liverpool's streets and the best of the City's culture will be held from 11:- am to 5 pm on:- Castle Street.
The Liverpool BID's summer festivals will be celebrating the iconic City's streets this summer with a special programme of activities that aims to showcase the area's businesses, The 1st of these events, on:- Sunday, will see Castle Street hosting a range of activities:-
All day activity outdoors includes:- Street Chess featuring a giant chess set, face painting, paper fan decorating workshops. Silent Adventure Disco Tours will take place throughout the day.
Street Performers including:- Flower Pot People and Stilt walkers in:- 30 and 40 minute slots throughout the day at:- 11.15 am, 1 pm, 1.45 pm, 3 pm and 3.30 pm Batala Mersey will perform at:- 2.30 pm to 3 pm, performing across the street, finishing at:- Exchange Flags. There will be four busking spots featuring live music performances all day. These will be at:- Ezra & Gill by Derby Square, Exchange Flags, Castle Street Townhouse, and the Town Hall balcony. Music will finish with a Sticky Lips roaming brass band hour long performance at:- 4 pm. There will be offers at key locations along:- Castle Street, including:- Fresh lemonade at Pho, Ice Cream Giveaway with:- San Carlo, 2-4-1, Liverpool Gin Distillery, 2 for £10 drinks at Black Barrel, 3 for £20 on small plates at Zeus, Happy Hour at Fazenda and free sangria within a meal at So Salsa. At the Town Hall, from:- 12.45 pm to 3:45 pm, there will be Beginners Chess and Advanced Chess sessions. This is part of the British Chess Championships taking place in Liverpool, from:- 31 July to 10 August 2025. Booking is required for these sessions.
