ON 22 May 2025 see Canada's Jocelyn Pettit, and the America's Ellen Gira, at Southport's Bijou Cinema.
Watch and hear as this dynamic fiddle and cello duo use traditional and contemporary music styles to create a powerfully uplifting and soulful performance, weaving a rhythmically driving and textured sound.
This duo has been complemented by lively step dancing, they bring life and fire into original tunes, songs, and high energy repertoire from:- Scotland, Ireland, North America, and Scandinavia.
Each of these musicians are highly accomplished in their own right, with extensive performance history and accolades.
Jocelyn and Ellen 1st joined forces back in:- 2018, when they where in:- Glasgow. Since then, the duo has been gracing stages and captivating audiences in both North America and the UK.
The duo have been featured in live broadcasts on:- BBC Radio 3, and performed at festivals including:- Celtic Connections (UK), Vancouver Folk Music Festival (CAN), Harrison Festival of the Arts (CAN), Summerfolk Music Festival (CAN), Celtic Colours International Festival (CAN), New World Festival (USA), and Northwest Folklife (USA).
The duo has also been awarded:- "Traditional Album of the Year" at the:- '2024 Canadian Folk Music Awards,' Jocelyn and Ellen's album:- "All It Brings," which is a celebration of hope and resilience. The album features nuanced fiddle cello interplay, vocal harmonies, and guest guitar accompaniment.
Jocelyn Nandellen and Ellen Gira werewere also recently nominated for:- "Instrumental Artist of the Year" at the:- '2024 Western Canadian Music Awards.'
Also Supporting Jocelyn and Ellen will be:- Naomi Campbell.
 With a soulful blend of storytelling and melody, Naomi Campbell combines a hybrid of influences in her music. Known for her dynamic and evocative vocals, she has enjoyed quite the evolution in the past few years. From her Americana roots to recently embracing a wider Soul and R&B sound. Naomi moved from a small Town in Ireland to Liverpool in 2014, and has since supported:' Chris Helme (the Seahorses), John Calvin Abney, Campbell/Jensen, and Muireann Bradley, playing venues such as the:- Liverpool Philharmonic Music Room, Roisin Dubh, Galway and, London’s folk hub, the Betsey Trotwood.
