Santa's Grotto returns to Wayfarers Shopping Arcade in Southport this weekend

FATHER Christmas is making a welcome return to Wayfarers Shopping Arcade, located on:- Lord Street, Southport, Merseyside!

The man in red will take up residence in Santa’s Grotto between:- 11.30am and 2pm, from Saturday, 23 November 2024 (This Saturday).

His appearance will coincide with the huge Southport Festive Fun Day happening on Lord Street outside the arcade on the same day.

The Festive Fun Day, organised by Southport BID and Sefton Council, will see thousands of people enjoying a huge range of entertainment including appearances by Lemar, Toploader, Gemma Collins, 14 local dance schools, bitesize pantomimes, and more.

Families can also enjoy calling into Wayfarers Shopping Arcade to see the 1st appearance this year of Santa Claus and his lovely Mrs Claus as they prepare to welcome you into their enchanting grotto.

No reservations are required, just pop in whenever your holiday spirit calls you.

For just £10 per child, your little ones will receive a premium gift and memories to treasure forever. Come share the magic!

The Christmas tree and festive decorations are now in place inside the Grade II Listed Wayfarers Shopping Arcade, a beautiful sight at this time of year, and a great backdrop for pictures.

Wayfarers Shopping Arcade’s Margaret Tarpey said:- “We are very excited to be joining in the celebrations with this year’s Southport Festive Fun Day, which will be a magnificent occasion for the town. It’s a day that families from across the region won’t want to miss! All the fabulous local, independent shops and cafes inside the arcade will be open as normal with lots of festive gift ideas on offer for anyone looking to start their Christmas shopping.”

Santa’s Grotto will then return to Wayfarers Shopping Arcade every weekend until Christmas with even more magic. Special guests like the ever-playful Elves, and the enchanting sisters, Queen Elsa and Anna, will also be joining the festive fun, courtesy of Gambolling Arena from:- 10am to 4pm.

  • Sunday, 8 December 2024.
     
  • Saturday, 14 December 2024.

  • Tuesday, 24 December 2024 (Xmas Eve)

People can also pick up Christmas gift ideas at the Memory Lane Craft & Gift Fair which takes place every weekend alongside the grotto starting:- Saturday, 30 November 2024.
