KALASH Divine Indian in Southport has been honoured with the Innovation Award at the 2026 Your Southport Stars Awards.

The restaurant, which specialises in authentic regional Indian cuisine, has continued to evolve since opening at 1-5 Lord Street 6 and a half years ago.

They improved their offer even further in 2024 after owners Ranjeet Singh and Alvino Cardozo invested in expanding into the neighbouring unit, previously occupied by the Boulevard West bar, increasing their covers from 60 to 100.

It means they have been able to create more jobs and to offer a space that’s perfect for large parties, celebrations and events, as well coping with growing demand from diners.

This year Kalash Divine Indian launched its exciting new ‘Indian Regional Cuisine’ evenings, which celebrate some of the top culinary destinations in the Sub-Continent.

The 1st Indian Regional Cuisine events have showcased the very best food from Rampur and Hyderabad, with the next event coming up in May.

Kalash Divine Indian is also now open during lunchtimes every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, launching a brand new lunch menu for daytime diners.

As a special introductory offer, people can call in and try the new menu along with 50% off until the end of April, savouring delicious dishes for half the price.

Owners Ranjeet Singh and Alvino Cardozo said:- “We are absolutely thrilled to have won the Innovation Award at the Your Southport Stars Awards. This means so much to us. From the very beginning, our aim has been to bring something different for Southport – and to continue evolving our offering to give people the best possible experience. We’d like to say a huge thank you to all of our brilliant customers for your continued support. It’s because of you that we’ve been able to innovate, grow, and expand to meet demand. We’re so grateful for every visit, recommendation and kind word. We opened 6 and a half years ago, and have enjoyed a very warm welcome ever since. Being situated where we are, we have to stand out. We have Birkdale Village in 1 direction, and the Northern Quarter on Lord Street in the other."

They continued:- “For people to want to come and visit us here, we have to offer the best possible food and the best possible experience, which is what we have always strived so hard to do. We have to be a destination that people want to come to. We are very grateful to have so many regular customers who come to visit Kalash Divine Indian time and time again, with so many people coming to visit us through word of mouth recommendations. We are very proud to offer food that is authentically Indian, created and cooked fresh every day using the best ingredients and spices, many of them imported directly from India. We never stop innovating and investing in our food, our restaurant and what we offer to our diners. Our expansion in 2024 means we can accommodate more people, especially during busy times such as weekends, as well as offering this space for events, celebrations and corporate events. 2 recent innovations include our Indian Regional Cuisine evenings and our new lunchtime offering. Both were launched due to customer demand and both have enjoyed a superb response. We will continue to improve and develop what we offer at Kalash Divine Indian to ensure guests continue to come and enjoy memorable times here with us.”

Kalash Divine Indian was among winners at the Your Southport Stars Awards, which was organised by Southport BID.

Ranjeet Singh and Alvino Cardozo said:- “The Your Southport Stars Awards were once again an impressive coming together of the business community in Southport. There are so many top quality local businesses locally, with Southport continuing to improve as a destination for visitors. We’re very grateful to Southport BID for organising the Your Southport Stars Awards and their ongoing support throughout the year.”
