Southport Jazz Festival 2026 launches exciting year of events in Southport on a high note

SOUTHPORT´S 1st big event of 2026 opens on a high note today with the 2026 Southport Jazz Festival. 

Visitors from all over the UK are looking forward to enjoying a variety of styles and performers with 10 shows taking place across 3 jam-packed days and nights at The Grand on Lord Street in Southport town centre. 

There are lunchtime shows; afternoon gigs; and evening headliners including Clare Teal, Liane Carroll, Emma Holcroft, Claire Martin and others with female stars at the forefront. 

Southport Jazz Festival takes place from:- 30 January - 1 February 2026 with plenty to savour, from trios to big bands, young performers to jazz legends, and a vocal workshop with jazz legend Liane Carroll. 

The event will see guests welcomed today by talented children from Shevington Vale Primary School before Trio JDM take to the stage. 

Tickets are on sale for individual shows; for full days; or for the full festival through the Southport Jazz Festival website

Southport Jazz Festival is directed by Emma Murphy, Jez Murphy and Clifford Ray. They said:- “We are thrilled to be welcoming people from Southport and from the 4 corners of the UK for this year’s Southport Jazz Festival! We have some fantastic performers, with different styles to suit audiences. This is a fantastic live music festival - if you’ve never tried jazz, come in and see what you think. We are delighted to be back in the stylish surroundings of The Grand, which is a stunning venue for a jazz festival. Visitors are always wowed by the splendour of this place when they walk in! The team here could not have been more helpful." 

They continued:- “We’d like to say a big thank you to all our guests, all our performers and also all our volunteers for all their support. We’re all looking forward to an exciting 3 days and nights! We have tickets available for our shows - check out our website and see what you fancy coming to see. As ever, we have created our ticket options to be really flexible, so you can come and see one show, or come for a whole day, or come and see the whole festival.”
