RAF Woodvale will host a Military Aviation Exercise from:- 11 November to 15 November 2024 with flight times operating around:- 10 am and 2 am. This might change due to unanticipated circumstances. This exercise is to meet strict RAF training objectives, the aircrews who are all required to fly both day and night in low level formations. Up to 8 helicopters, will be operating daily for this training exercise, including:- Merlin Mk4/Mk2, Chinook CH47 and Wildcat HMA. The RAF have stressed that these times and routes the aircraft will be operating has been carefully planned to minimise disruption to the local area and residences throughout the period as best possible.
A spokesperson for the RAF has said:- "We would like to thank the local community in advance for their continued support and assistance. Your help is very much appreciated in facilitating this essential millinery defence training."
