MERSEYSIDE Police have issued a CCTV image appeal, asking the public for information, following a stabbing, in Liverpool City Centre, at around:- 11.30pm, on Saturday, 4 February 2023,

Merseyside police say that the male within this CCTV image could have information that could help the with their enquiries.

We are told that the incident took place at McDonald’s, on Ranleigh Street, and it involved a male, in his 20s, who had sustained a stab wound to his arm.

We are told that the victim received the injury after he had tried to intervene to stop a fight between 2 unknown males.

Merseyside police said that the 2 males after stabbing the victim had then made off from the scene on foot.

Merseyside Police Detective Inspector, Chris Saidi, said:- “We are keen to trace the man pictured as we believe he could have information which is vital to our enquiries. There would have been a lot of people inside the premises during this time, so if you witnessed this incident please come forward and help us to remove dangerous weapons and those who use them from our streets. Whether you let us know directly, or anonymously, through Crimestoppers, please contact us and we will take action.”

If you recognise the male that is within the picture or have any information about this incident, please DM Merseyside Police's social media desk, either on:- Twitter, or on:- Facebook, quoting reference:- '23000103393.'
