IAN Fitzgibbon, aged 28, was extradited, with the support of the NCA’s National Extradition Unit, from Spain, on Thursday, 24 August 2023, on a Trade and Co-operation agreement after being arrested by the Spanish National Police.
Ian Fitzgibbon, who is from St Helens, has since been charged with the murder of 28 year old Ashley Dale, in Old Swan, on 21 August 2022. He has also been charged with conspiracy to murder Lee Harrison; possession of a prohibited weapon, namely a Skorpion sub-machine gun pistol and associated ammunition with intent to endanger life, and conspiracy to possess a prohibited weapon namely a Skorpion sub-machine gun and associated ammunition.
