LIVERPOOL´S Pride celebration is back with a bold new chapter—this time stepping into the iconic M&S Bank Arena for an afternoon of unapologetic joy, music, and community. On Saturday 26 July 2025, after the City’s Pride March winds through Liverpool’s streets, the Arena will open its doors for a ticketed festival packed with live performances, DJs, drag excellence, local makers, and family-friendly fun.

This reimagined event is the result of swift action and deep community commitment. Earlier this year, it was announced that Liverpool’s Pride had been cancelled due to funding challenges. But when Sahir House, the City’s oldest LGBTQ+ charity, stepped in to take the reins, a new vision began to emerge.

Ant Hopkinson from Sahir house said:- “There was no way that Sahir was going to sit back and let Liverpool go without a Pride celebration this year. With a refreshed route and programme for 2025, Liverpool's Pride is set to bring together the Queer community like never before. Set against the backdrop of our beautiful waterfront and historic docks, Liverpool's Pride will be sending a visual of togetherness and resilience to a global audience, showcasing what we all know the City does so well.”

With just £5.50 tickets (free for under 16s), the event promises an atmosphere more akin to a summer music festival than a traditional seated arena show. Attendees can expect a full afternoon of queer performance, dancing, food and drink, and a bustling Pride Marketplace showcasing local LGBTQ+ creatives and businesses. For full details of the day’s line-up visit this website.

In a move to ensure Pride remained accessible to as many people as possible, a generous donation from the DWF Foundation enabled organisers to offer a limited number of free tickets to those facing financial and access-related barriers. All of those tickets have now been allocated—an encouraging sign of how inclusive, community-focused planning can make a real difference.

The Arena’s transformation into the heart of Pride wasn’t just about logistics—it was personal.

Ben Williams from M&S Bank Arena said:- “We’re delighted to support Liverpool Pride with an event at the M&S Bank Arena, rounding off the march by bringing people together in a celebration of creativity and community. We’re here to serve the people of Liverpool and are proud to provide a space for this important event.”

The day begins with the Liverpool Pride March, starting at Pier Head at 11:30am, ending in a true crescendo as the crowd arrives at the Arena to keep the celebration going. Doors open at 12:30pm, with the party carrying on until 6pm.

If the buzz on social media is anything to go by, this is shaping up to be  1 of Liverpool’s most electric Pride celebrations yet. And with limited capacity inside the Arena, those planning to join might want to act fast.
