THE Liverpool International Tennis Tournament (LITT) returns to Liverpool Cricket Club, from:- Thursday, 19 June to Saturday, 21 June 2025.

The event's 23rd edition continues its mission to tackle obesity, improve mental health, and reduce antisocial behaviour through the power of sport. Established in 2002 by Northern Vision Sporting Events as a Wimbledon warm-up, the tournament has become a fixture on the city's sporting calendar. Since its inception, Northern Vision has introduced tennis to more than 100,000 young people across the Liverpool City Region through its flagship event and the Liverpool Junior International Tennis Tournaments.

The tournament's return comes as Liverpool faces serious health challenges. According to the latest Index of Multiple Deprivation and Poverty, the City ranks third worst in England for health and disability. The Office for National Statistics reports that 65% of Liverpool adults are overweight or obese, with childhood obesity in Year 6 pupils (aged 10 to 11) reaching 45.2%, well above the national average.

The 2025 exhibition event promises to entertain and inspire, with players including Marcus Will, Martin Kližan, Patricia Țig, and local talent Abi Redman. The tournament has become a springboard for future stars, offering fans a rare chance to see elite-level tennis up close in the North West.

Anders Borg, Managing Director of Northern Vision Sporting Events, said:- "It is a great privilege to bring this magnificent occasion back to Liverpool for the 23rd year. With the support of our partners; including The Liverpool BID Company, KPMG, UBER, Hilton, and DSG Liverpool; we continue to showcase some of the best talent in tennis. Over the years, we've had some of the sport's most prestigious names play on our grass courts ahead of Wimbledon. It's the perfect place to spot the stars of the future. The tournament is designed to be accessible to all. We want everyone to experience the thrill of tennis, and we welcome involvement from students, local businesses and charities to make it a success year after year."

Northern Vision's broader mission focuses on tackling physical inactivity and obesity, supporting mental wellbeing, and reducing antisocial behaviour by engaging young people through community-based tennis programmes.

Earlier this year, the Liverpool Junior International Tennis Tournament received a Tournament Recognition Award from the International Tennis Federation for exceptional player satisfaction and tournament delivery.

Borg added-: "Our primary objective is to promote physical and mental wellbeing, and reduce crime by giving young people a positive outlet. Last year, our young players voted the junior tournament 1 of the best they'd ever played in, and I genuinely believe Liverpool has become the home of junior tennis in the UK."

Bill Addy, Chief Executive of The Liverpool BID Company, said:- "The Liverpool International is a highlight of the city’s cultural and sporting calendar and it is something our business community loves to be involved in. We are a proud partner, not merely as it is a moment for animation and enhancing the public spaces in the City Centre, but because it shows off the sporting prowess and the pull of our city for international sports. We are delighted to be able to be a presenting sponsor. The grit and determination to deliver this tournament year on year shows the kind of courage usually only seen on the tennis court itself."

In the lead up to the main event, Northern Vision has been bringing tennis directly to the community with free mini-tennis lessons in City Centre locations, including:- Exchange Flags, Liverpool Town Hall and Liverpool ONE.

Tickets for the Liverpool International Tennis Tournament are now on general sale via:- TicketQuarter, priced from:- £22.
