LIVERPOOL is gearing up for a momentous celebration on:- Bank Holiday, Monday, 26 May 2025, as Liverpool Football Club marks its historic 20th English league title with a citywide victory parade.

Hundreds of thousands of fans are expected to line the streets, while many more will tune in from home to witness the Premier League trophy parade.

So, whether you're planning on finding a spot along the parade route, watching proceedings from the comfort of your own home, or maybe you're avoiding the whole thing, the City Council's Culture Liverpool team has pulled together all the info you need in one handy place.

And the key message? Plan, plan, plan to make sure your Bank Holiday Monday is exactly how you want it to be.

Liverpool City Council's Cabinet Member for Culture and Public Health, Councillor Harry Doyle, said:- "Bank Holiday Monday is set to be a day to remember for the whole City, and with an event of this scale, a bit of planning goes a long way. That's why we've created a clear, easy FAQs to make sure everyone has the key information they need to feel confident, stay safe, and enjoy the day in their own way."

What is happening on:- Monday, 26 May 2025 in Liverpool?

Liverpool City Council has invited Liverpool Football Club’s men’s team to parade their Premier League silverware around the City.

What is the parade’s route?

The victory parade route will start at:- Allerton Maze and will travel Northbound on:- Queens Drive towards the Fiveways roundabout and Rocket flyover. From there it will journey along:-

• Queens Drive.

• Mill Bank.

• West Derby Road.

• Islington.

• Leeds Street.

• The Strand.

• Route finishes at Blundell Street.

When does it start, and how long will it last?

It is expected the 15km long parade will last anywhere between:- 3 to 5 hours, but this is subject to change.

What happens to businesses and residents along the route?

Liverpool City Council’s Culture Liverpool team has been liaising with businesses and residents on the route to make sure they are aware of the event and the impact it may have.

Who is paying for the parade?

Liverpool Football Club is covering the costs of the parade.

How can I find out where the bus is on the day?

LFC’s official social media channels (@LFCHELP) will keep you up to date with everything you need to know.

How do I watch the parade from home?

If you are unable to attend the Parade you can also watch it live across LFC’s platforms, including:- LFCTV GO, YouTube, Facebook, X, and TikTok. Fans can also watch live on LFCTV on Sky channel 423 or Virgin Media channel 544 in the UK.

I want to attend, but how do I get there?

The key thing is to plan your journey in advance. People are strongly advised to stay local if they can and walk or cycle if possible. Are there road closures?

The Strand will be closed northbound from the Upper Parliament Street/Great George Street junction to Leeds Street/Great Howard Street junction from 04.00 – 22.00, or until it is safe to re-open.

The southbound lane will be closed from approximately:- 12 noon to 7 pm, again subject to crowd safety requirements.

Additionally, Leeds Street City bound will be closed from:- 12 noon until approx. 7 pm.

Where will I get the best view of the parade?

The route is 15km long and the advice is to use the length of the route. There are no dedicated viewing areas, but there will be animation across the route this year.

Is there accessible viewing?

We are not able to provide specific accessible viewing areas, but have made it a long route to allow as many people as possible to watch it. We recommend that those uncomfortable in large crowds choose a quieter location along the route, which is away from major landmarks, or choose a wider street where there is more space to move around.

Is there parking?

We strongly advise people do not drive; particularly into the City Centre; and ask fans to either walk and try. You should view the parade as close to home as possible.

Will there be toilets on the route?

In short.... No!

Can I bring flares and other pyrotechnics?

The use of flares, pyrotechnics, or anything similar is strictly prohibited. The use of pyrotechnics poses a risk of injury to fellow fans and serious health risks.

Can I fly my drone?

No drones are allowed on the parade route, and any unauthorised drones will be removed.

Have you got any measures in place to help with lost children?

We’re asking parents/carers/guardians to take a photo of children BEFORE attending the parade. Should you be separated, this will help identify them quickly. Stewards will also be distributing wristbands on which you can write the number of a responsible adult and attach it to a child / vulnerable person. If you lose a youngster during the parade, please alert your nearest steward or member of Merseyside Police immediately.
