Reminder that there are "NO" Local Elections in Sefton this tear
RESIDENTS living within the Borough Council of Sefton are being measured that their are no scheduled elections to take place in May this year.
Sefton Council have explained that this is because 2025 is what is known as a:- "Fallow Year" within the local authority's Election Cycle for Metropolitan Councils. Please note that other areas might follow a different Election Cycles. This is the current election schedule over the next 5 years for residents who reside in Sefton is as follows:- 2025 This is a:- "Fallow Year" within the Sefton Council’s Election Cycle. 2026 Sefton Council will hold it's next:- "Local Elections." 2027 Within Sefton's Election Cycle the area will see the:- "Local Elections being held along with the:- "Parish Council Elections." 2028 Accross the Liverpool City Region, including Sefton, for both the:- "Local, Police and Crime Commissioner," and the "LCRCA Mayor Elections" will take place. 2029 This is the last opportunity for a "General Election" to be held In, but for Local Elections within Sefton Council’s cycle this year be another:- "Fallow Year." but also last time to hold the next General Election The next scheduled election will take place on:- Thursday, 7 May 2026. It is worth adding that both Liverpool City Council and Wirral Council are also nit holding Local Elections this year. Interestingly, the next local elections for all wards within Wirral Council are due to take place on:- Thursday, 6 May 2027. COMMENTS (0)
