St Helens Council Blackbrook Ward By-Election Result

FOLLOWING the death of Linda Maloney died aged 71 after a short illness a By-Election was called to fill the vacancy and elect a new Councillor for the St Helens Council Blackbrook Ward.
 
This election took place on:- Thursday, 12 December 2024 to find her replacement.
 
The turnout or this By-Election was:- 16.3%, and the results have now been declared. 
 
The independent candidate, McLaughlin, received:- 52 votes.
 
The Conservative Party candidate, Thomas Dodd, received:- 102 votes.
 
The Green Party candidate, Daniel John Thomas, received:- 167 votes.
 
The Labour Party candidate, Sally Yeoman, recipient:-  460 votes.
 
The winner was the Reform UK candidate, 
Victor Floyd, who received:- 546 votes.
 
This means Victor Floyd has been duly elected as a Councillor in the St Helens Council's Blackbrook Ward.
 
Labour remains in overall control of the Council.
