THE team behind the hugely popular eJoy Asian Foods in the busy Myrtle Street area of Liverpool are preparing to launch their 2nd dedicated outlet, this time in the City’s Devon Street.

In this area, which has undergone much redevelopment and rejuvenation over the last decade, eJoy aims to bring its own unique space.

It will take elements from the original site, including its fresh food outlets and supermarket department, to combine together with seated areas to take in delicious treats and takeaways. The key emphasis will also be on great value-for-money.

eJoy’s fresh food will play a huge part of the new Devon Street superstore including its 4 beloved vendors:-
Mala Town - this self-choice noodle outlet has already proved to be a huge hit.
WokToGo - a traditional Wok where you can enjoy a whole host of ingredients and recipes to delight the taste buds.
Happy Lemon - provides a variety of smooth and tasty bubble teas.
eJoy Dim Sum - a wide variety of handmade Cantonese treats including fan favourites such as Siu Mai and Roast Duck.

The original eJoy on Myrtle Parade has already gone down a storm with online reviewers and social media food critics, on TikTok and Instagram, including the hugely popular Scouse Ghetto Gourmet, who has given the space a great seal of approval.

Other 5-star reviewers praise the fresh ingredients, the wide range of foods on offer, being able to see your dishes cooked in front of you, and the varied, fun and unusual ranges stocked in the supermarket section.

Store owner of eJoy Asian Foods Kent Gu explains:- “Our 1st eJoy has done so well. Of course, its location means it is popular with the student population, but over time our customers have been travelling to us from all over the City region. Not only do they appreciate our wonderfully inventive food menus, and enjoy browsing our supermarket aisles, they also really appreciate our price structure and value-for-money. They get a truly authentic experience watching their dishes being prepared for them, and as they have space to eat in, it’s also a great pit stop."

Kent Gu continues:- "Our new Devon Street venue will really place an emphasis on good value, and we will be happy to provide extra discounts for NHS workers and University personnel, to name but a few. As well as including the elements that have proved so popular in Myrtle Street, we will also be introducing new initiatives, such as our all-new self-choice hot pot, which we know will prove to be a winner over these colder months. This new venue is also in a busy area, and we decided to take the leap based on demographics and foot fall, as well as the reputation we have already built with eJoy. We look forward to welcoming everyone to our new location in Devon Street.”

The new eJoy site is located at Devon Street and opens on:- Wednesday, 13 November 2024.

The original eJoy Asian Foods is located at:- 1 Myrtle Parade, Liverpool L7 7EL.
