THESE are our 2 recommended venues for Christmas and New Year's Eve. The Hightown Pub and Restaurant THE Hightown Pub and Restaurant is a family-run venue serving locally sourced fresh produce. This venue is reminding customers that they are still open over the festive season, despite the issues with trains stopping at Hightown during some of the Christmas and New Year holiday period. The venue opening times over Christmas are as follows:- Xmas Eve, the bar will be open from:- 12 Noon to 930pm, with food orders being taken between:- 12 noon and 7 pm. The dog-friendly bar might make a welcome stop for walkers trying to burn off the Christmas Dinners on Christmas Day, as they are open from:- 12 Noon to 3 pm for drinks orders only. The Hightown Pub & Kitchen will open from:- 11 am to 9:30 pm on Boxing Day, with food orders being taken between:- 11 am to 7:30 pm. The festive fun continues on Thursday when the bar will host its annual special:- 'Christmas Quiz' hosted by:- Quiz Master Andy Johnson. New Year's Eve will be a relaxed night and will be fully dog friendly, giving owners a place to celebrate and dogs to relax away from the sounds of any fireworks. The festive season started on 21 December with a very successful Vlue Cat Soul Club Christmas Party. Over Christmas and New Year's Eve, the venue will have a range of food deals on offer.
