Northern issues travel advice calendar for next 7 days covering New Year Eve and New Years Day
NORTHERN is the 2nd largest train operator in the UK, with 2,500 services a day to more than 500 Stations across the North of England. The services include those running from:- Southport, Ormskirk, and Liverpool Stations.
The train operator has published a travel advice calendar for:- 28 December 2023 to 3 Jan 2024 2023. The train operator says customers should expect disruption and are strongly advised to:- 'check before you travel.' Services should return to normal on:- Wednesday, 3 January 2024. Tricia Williams, chief operating officer at Northern, said:- "Unfortunately, customers traveling over the New Year period should expect disruption. This is due to limited train crew availability in some areas and planned engineering works. We strongly advise customers to ‘check before you travel’ on those days." In addition to the travel advice calendar, customers are reminded that rail timetables across the North of England changed on:- Sunday, 10 December 2023, in line with the rest of the National Rail network. Customers are encouraged to use the:- 'Check My Timetable' feature on the Northern website for more information about their local Station. Weather might also be an issue, so please check weather forces before planning to travel.
