Southport Royal British Legion has launched the annual Poppy Appeal
PLEASE remember to support the #UK's Armed Forces community by buying a Poppy, and help the Royal British Legion to help those who protect our nation.
Today (28 October 2023) the Southport Royal British Legion launched the annual Poppy Appeal. The event took place outside Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council's Southport Town Hall, at 10am. Mayor of Sefton Cllr June Burns will be among VIPs in attendance along with local cadets. Every poppy shows you care about the lives of our Armed Forces community. Doing so helps the Royal British Legion to support those who have helped defend our nation, as well as those defending it now, and keeping the memory of those who have died. Please buy your poppy and display it with pride. Let us honor those who defend our nation both past and present. Did you know that this year the Royal British Legion has introduced a new plastic-free Poppy is made entirely from paper? The new design maintains the iconic poppy design and leaf shape. Please also remember to buy from official suppliers only. For more information about the Royal British Legion and the unique work they do, please visit:- BritishLegion.Org.UK.
