ON 1 December 2025, the countdown to Christmas is officially on as Cuboid Self Storage, a nationwide self-storage specialist, unveils ‘The World’s Largest Charity Advent Calendar’, bringing festive cheer to up to 20,000 children across the Northwest.
Officially launched by TV presenter and former Olympian Sam Quek OBE, the 34ft high x 48ft wide x 20ft deep structure is the creation of Cuboid, who are working to support dozens of charities across Lancashire, including Chorley Youth Zone, Endeavour Project in Bolton, and Millbank Wellbeing, Preston.
Cuboid Self Storage will be donating a container of gifts every day for the 24 days of Advent to children and families who most need it this Christmas.
The giant advent calendar is located at Cuboid Self Storage’s Head Office in Chorley, Lancashire, and is made up of 24 steel self storage shipping containers, complete with numbered doors and festive lights. Each day Cuboid will donate a container's worth of gifts with enough presents to make it an unforgettable Christmas for local families, ensuring that thousands of children across the region wake up to a gift on Christmas morning.
Sam Quek said:- “This is 1 of the nicest, most generous campaigns I’ve been involved with. To have 1 container full of toys and gifts for children’s charities is amazing, let alone 24 throughout the whole month of December. It’s really inspiring and a fantastic concept from the team at Cuboid.”
In partnership with Cash for Kids Cuboid Self Storage’s Head Office in Chorley Lancashire, is also serving as the Lancashire HQ for Cash for Kids’ Mission Christmas 2025.
Members of the public can also add to the festive cheer when they register their interest to visit the advent calendar and drop off gifts at Cuboid’s HQ or at other Mission Christmas’ partners where they will also be entered into a prize draw.
Tim Knowles, Managing Director at FI Real Estate, said:- “It’s an honour and a privilege to support families and people in need this Xmas. The whole Cuboid team that worked on this have done a great job, and I’m really proud of the result.”
Laura Charlton, Regional Charity Manager at Mission Christmas said:- “So much more than just an advent calendar, this festive campaign is a daily reminder that Christmas should be magical for every child. We genuinely believe that Cuboid has helped us to save Christmas for thousands of families across Lancashire with their incredible donation and we couldn’t be more grateful to the Cuboid team! For parents struggling to make ends meet - faced with the impossible task of choosing between heating the house or putting food on the table - Christmas is a luxury they just can’t afford. With this help from Cuboid Self Storage we’re able to provide a range of gifts per child. It may sound simple, but it makes a real difference to help kids feel included, supported and celebrated over the festive season.”
