OVER the run-up to this year's Easter, Southport's Little Miss Teen Merseyside Ebony Barbé has spent her time organizing a collection of Easter goodies for the Liverpool Women's Charity at Liverpool Womens Hospital.
Ebony said:- "Over the past few weeks, I have spent my time organizing with local supermarkets in my hometown of Southport and around Merseyside collecting donations of Easter eggs and Easter-related items. I have made an Easter hamper using some of these things, and I bought some little Easter crafts to jazz it up! It was so much fun making it. Thank you to my friend Samantha for the lovely items you donated too, so kind of you. I have been so busy organizing it all, it took a lot of time and effort, but it all paid off when I got to hand deliver all these goodies to the Liverpool Women's Charity, based at the Liverpool Women's Hospital. The Easter eggs and hamper will be sold as tombola prizes, and the hamper raffled off to raise much-needed funds for their:- 'Bereavement Appeal' to help support families who are suffering from a loss. I'm truly grateful to all of the companies who have supported me in my efforts, and I also feel so proud of myself as this is one of the most rewarding things I have done so far. I want to say a special thank you to my lovely friend Danielle who has just won Mrs Galaxy 2003! Who is the most wonderful, kind, caring, and supportive person who is a great asset to the Hospital, working as a Nurse there... We are blessed to call you our 'Merseyside' friend. Thank you for putting us in touch with this wonderful charity, and I hope lots of much-needed funds are raised."
A letter that was forwarded to us from the charity said:- "So proud of you Ebony. You melt our hearts. Wanting to make a difference."
