EXTRA services and longer trains will be in place for the 2nd test event at Everton’s new stadium at Bramley-Moore on:- Sunday, 23 March 2025, as football fans and other customers are urged to plan ahead and check their travel options.
Public transport partners, including Merseyrail, the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority (LCRCA), Liverpool City Council, Merseyside Police, and Everton FC, have worked together to ensure smooth and efficient travel for those attending the event.
Merseyrail will be operating a special matchday timetable with additional train services before and after the 14:00 kick-off. 8-car trains will be in operation as part of the special timetable, to help accommodate the higher number of customers expected to travel.
Full details of the additional trains and the latest travel advice is available via the journey planner on Merseyrail’s website or app.
Customers are also reminded to allow more time for their journey, as services may take longer than usual, and you are likely to need to queue. Please also be kind to Merseyrail colleagues who will be managing our fan waiting zone, working hard to keep everything running smoothly and to help where needed.
Sandhills station is just a short walk from the new stadium and is the most convenient option for those travelling by train.
