Merseyside Police And Crime Commissioner (PCC) results see Emmily Spurrel Elected

THE results of the Merseyside Police And Crime Commissioner (PCC) have been announced.  Labour and Co-operative Party Emily Elizabeth Spurrell has been re-elected for a second time with 152,640 votes.

The other results:-
  • Liberal Democrats Christopher David Carubia:- 28,093.
     
  • Green Party Onwuemene:- 31,330.
     
  • Conservative Party Teesdale Bob:- 35,221.
Rejected votes:- 4,316

The Police Area Returning Office was Andrew Lewis.



Please note, that despite a suggestion to the contrary, the media are allowed to film and photograph the verification and counting of the elections as long as we do not obstruct count staff, show close-ups of ballot papers, or go into restricted areas (eg:- the areas behind the counting tables and where vote boxes are kept etc) Media representatives are there to ensure the transparency of the election process.
