3 decades ago, TK Maxx was introduced to the UK high street and opened their first Liverpool store on Parker Street, on:- 22 April 22 1994. The new opening radically changed the way Britons shopped and 30 years later, TK Maxx continues to offer a unique treasure hunt shopping experience, and customers continue to enjoy the huge assortment of big brands and designer labels at up to 60% less than the RRP. TK Maxx has remained a hero of the high street for thirty years by keeping value and quality at the heart of the business, operating across 358 stores in the UK alone.

Deborah Dolce, Group Director at TK Maxx, who has been at the company for 30 years herself, said:- “Reflecting on TK Maxx's 30th anniversary, it's brilliant to see how our dedication to unrivalled value and quality has truly shaped our journey. From our roots on Parker Street to our expansion to more than 700 stores across Europe, our commitment to providing customers with an unbeatable treasure hunt shopping experience has remained at the heart of who we are. Alongside our success, we are proud to have been active over the years in many charity and community endeavours, from our Cancer Research UK clothing recycling scheme to our Comic Relief partnership, to supporting hundreds of local community organisations. Our growth wouldn't have been possible without the passion and dedication of our staff, as well as the loyalty and support of our customers over the past three decades, for which we are truly grateful. Thank you to everyone. As we look ahead, we're excited to continue delighting our customers with amazing finds at unbeatable prices for many years to come."

The Liverpool store now stands on Church Street in the heart of the city’s shopping district and employs 100 associates. With daily deliveries of the latest fashion, beauty and fresh products dropping online every day, TK Maxx continues to provide shoppers with quality items at unbelievable prices.

John White joined the original Liverpool TK Maxx store in April of 1994 as a store associate, then as the store manager, before becoming Regional Operations Director and said:-  “TK Maxx is a wonderful employer, and having started my career in one of the first UK stores in Liverpool that opened in 1994 and now leading retail teams, I have seen how TK Maxx has remained a high-street favourite over the past 30 years. I’m delighted to have the pleasure of leading and supporting TK Maxx teams across the country and nurturing them to fulfill their potential.”

Since 1994, TK Maxx has expanded across Europe with 644 stores in Ireland, Germany, Poland, Austria, and The Netherlands. Thirty years later TK Maxx remains the go-to destination for big brands, amazing value, and trusted quality both in-store and online.

As of February 2024, TK Maxx has 644 stores in 6 countries across Europe: the:- UK, Ireland, Poland, Germany, Austria and the Netherlands, and it is also online.
