Miss Liverpool City Region 2024 Charlotte Cox with judges and Patricia Hughes
ON Friday, 22 March 2024, 24 year old, Charlotte Grant, a young entrepreneur, from Kirby, was crowned Miss Liverpool City Region 2024, at the Sandon Hotel and Pub. She will now be representing our City Region at Miss England.

Charlotte, when she was 10, was told by doctors that she would never walk again due to nerve damage and hematoma on her spinal cord,
a rare occurrence, that caused her a significant spinal injury and morbidity issues. Thanks to new treatments and lots of determination Charlotte recovered, and after 2 years she was able to walk again..

Sadly, her health issues meant she was left behind at School, but again she pushed through her difficulties, eventually achieving a Triple Distinction in her Level 3 BTEC Applied Science, at College, along with even achieving her Bronze, Silver, and Gold Duke Of Edinburgh Awards.
Charlotte was even awarded her Gold Award at St James Palace and met the Earl of Wessex.

Since leaving School, Charlotte is still pushing herself and now runs her own cosmetics business.. Charlotte is also acting on both stage and as an extra on TV. More interestingly, for someone told she couldn't walk again Charlotte even does acrobatics along with trampolining!

Charlotte has never forgotten the help she received from the NHS when she was younger. Consequently, over the COVID-19 lockdowns, she donated over £1000 worth of cosmetics to local NHS workers from her business.

Interestingly, to top it all off, she is now representing our Region in Miss England 2024, with the possibility of even representing England at Miss World, later this year. In June, she will be doing a Skydive in aid of a Care Home.

Charlotte is looking forward to being Miss Liverpool City Region 2024, and if you would like to sponsor her at Miss England 2024, please get in contact with Patricia Hughes, by emailing:- Pat.Yourstruly@BTInternet.Com for more information.

Also celebrating on the night was Kathryn Turner, who is now the Runner Up in this year's event, and will act as the secondary, should Charlotte be unable to attend.

Well done to all the young ladies who participated in this year's Miss England Heat, and good luck to Charlotte.

Also, special mentions to both the night's sponsor, The Sandon Hotel and Pub, along with the hair and beauty students from Riverside College. Also, not forgetting the amazing
Beautiful Brow & Lash, and the fantastic Ismay.

Performing and co-presenter on the night was the amazing Sophie Clarke, and also the lead presenter was William Thompson.
