A huge, free animal rescue festival is coming to Walton Hall Park in Liverpool on:- Sunday, 29 June 2025! RescueFest is being organised by People’s Animal Welfare Society to help raise money for rescue animals and will feature dog shows, many different animals, talks, demonstrations, street food, artisan markets, a fun fair and more!

RescueFest will run from 10am until 6pm and is a must for animal lovers — with a wide range of animals to meet and greet and shog shows throughout the day with various classes of dogs and celebrity judges. The unique event will also showcase some of the region’s wonderful animal rescue charities — bringing them all together in 1 big event.

On the day there’ll be lots of entertainment, with a fun fair for children, and street food and artisan markets — with plenty of delights on offer for both humans and animals. The aim of RescueFest is to bring people together for fun and to raise money and awareness for animal rescue and the great work of animal rescue charities.

Organisers, PAW Society, are a foster-based cat and dog rescue charity operating nationwide. Understanding that kennels and catteries are stressful environments for animals, they house rescued animals in a foster home — where they give them expert support and assess their behaviour in a home environment before they find their forever home.

PAW Society’s David Wise said:- “Many animal rescue charities like us do such great work to save animals’ lives but rely on public funding, volunteering, fostering and adopting — without that we simply wouldn’t exist and countless animals would die. Events such as this are vital to raise money and awareness and it will be great to showcase the work of the region’s wonderful charities alongside us.”

PAW Society’s Hannah Carter added:- “It’s going to be a fantastic day, lots of fun with loads going on! There’s nothing out there quite like this and although it’s a free event, we’re encouraging as many people as possible to turn up and donate. In the meantime, if you’re an animal rescue charity, animal related business, food trader or artisan supplier please get in touch to get involved.”

RescueFest is being sponsored by MyPet, a microchip and rescue platform provider, and Bartley Studios, a photography studio in Warrington. Pawsitively Does It will be running the dog shows on the day, meanwhile traders and charities will include the likes of Greyhound Trust Merseyside, REACH Sled Dog Rescue, Ninja Coffee Company, A Taste Of Europe, Prima Paws and Quiet Riot Vintage.
