Flood alert for River Alt, Formby to Huyton
Areas most at risk include:- River Alt and other watercourses from:- Huyton to Hightown including, Kirkby, Fazakerley, Maghull, Formby, Aughton, Sefton and Lunt. The Environment Agency has said:- "We are closely monitoring the situation and monitoring rainfall and river levels. We advise people near the river should avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses. We will issue an updated by:- 10 am, on:- 1 January 2025, or as the situation changes."
