Advanced warning of Traffic Delays in Southport for Christmas Charity Vehicle ParadeĀ
RESIDENTS in Southport are being warned to expect a rolling road closures that might result in some traffic delays on:- Sunday, 1 December 2024.
On Sunday, 1 December, will see the return of the annual Christmas Charity Vehicle Parade. This year the Parade will start at:- Warren Farm, located on the Formby By-pass (A565) at the BP roundabout, at approximately:- 4 pm, before heading into Southport, past RAF Woodvale. It will then run through Ainsdale and Birkdale, over Hillside Station Bridge and onto Lord Street roundabout before heading down past Victoria Park and back up to the Promenade via the Pleasureland Roundabout. The event will finish at the end of the Promenade.
This event will see lots of vehicles taking part, including floats, all decorated and some unusual vehicles will also be taking part.

Event organiser Adam Homes-Brown said:- "This event is full of Christmas Joy for your little ones and not to be missed. This year we will be raising funds and collecting toy donations for many different organisations and families across the North West. We invite you to line the streets to show us as much support as possible, for what is the biggest Christmas parade in The North West. Lots of special appearances on our many themed floats, plus this year TV will be covering it. We shall keep you posted with the actual route and timings on our Facebook page and via Southport Reporter." This was the event in 2023....
