AN exciting, free 4 day ‘Christmas Magic Festival’ is coming to Liscard at the end of November. From:- Thursday, 28 November 2024 through to:- Sunday, 1 December 2024, the City Centre will come alive with music, dance, spectacular light and art displays, food, market stalls, a fairground and incredible attractions such as Taylor Swift installations from Liverpool’s Taylor Town exhibition!
In addition to the wide range of free entertainment and activities available over the 4 days, there’s also an opportunity to win an amazing £500 worth of Christmas goodies! All you need to do to enter is claim a free ticket via Eventbrite and post it in the big post box in ‘The North Pole Tent’ situated by McDonald’s throughout the course of the event between:- 28 November and 1 December 2024.
The Christmas Magic Festival kicks off from:- 10 am on:- Thursday 28 November 2024. Dance schools and drummers will be performing inside The Cheery Tree Centre, alongside a spectacular:- ‘Sound & Vision’ light display with projections outside McDonald’s, you will find a mural, and art exhibitions. This will be followed by a big Christmas light switch-on hosted by Great British Bake Off star Lizzy Acker.
Swifties are in for a treat, as during the four days there’ll be amazing Taylor Swift installations straight from Liverpool’s Taylor Town, including:- the giant lips, sofa and piano; along with plenty of selfie opportunities. There’ll also be a Giant Christmas Sleigh throughout the festival. Meanwhile, every day there’ll be food and market stalls and a fairground in the Cherry Tree car park!
On:- Friday, 29 November 2024, there will be stages with lots of live music on Liscard Way. On Saturday, there’s lots happening for little ones, with a visit from Bluey and the Christmas Elves, mascots and baby dinosaurs who will be greeting and entertaining the crowds outside McDonald’s. A Taylor Swift tribute will perform in the mini Taylor Town exhibition and there will be an indoor market inside the Cherry Tree Centre in addition to the outdoor markets and fairground.
On Sunday, a series of Christmas Magic events are planned inside:- 'The Cheery Tree Centre,' including:- a singing choir, interactive dance events, dance and kung fu demonstrations, Santa’s Silly Bingo and various other activities alongside the food, drink, market stalls and attractions throughout the day.
The project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority as the lead authority. It is part of a collective effort to restore community spirit within the town and regenerate Liscard. Thanks to the great work of Equilibrium North West, Liscard Together, the Cherry Tree Centre and Wirral Council, the Christmas Magic Festival aims to bring the community together with an uplifting, positive festive celebration.

Our aim for this and future projects is to bring people together, boost community spirit and help people make happy memories.”
