Don't miss the WLLR's annual Easter Egg Hunt
THE West Lancs Light Railway (WLLR) has announced it's first major event of 2024 will be the annual Easter Egg Hunt. This event will be held on held on:- Easter Day, 31 March 2024.
If you have never heard of the West Lancashire Light Railway, this short-line narrow-gauge, in the North West of England full steam railway, is located on the borders of Merseyside and West Lancashire. This amazing narrow-gauge steam railway also has a large collection of industrial narrow-gauge locomotives running on the single track line. This event over Easter Sunday will see those attending getting a chance to ride the trains, meet the Easter Bunny, and join in our Grand Easter Egg Hunt! The railway will be running 2 engines, in full steam, plus you will also find other attractions, from:- traditional games, free competition with Easter prizes, as well as a children's fairground ride. Not only that, but the WLLR Station's famous tearoom will be open. If you can't do Easter Day, you might also be interested to know that they are also open for normal running (at standard fares) on:- Good Friday, 29 April, and on:- Easter Monday, 1 April 2024.
From April, the WLLR will run steam trains every Sunday and Bank Holiday, until the end of October 2024, plus other holidays. Plus, they will also be hosting quite a few amazing events along the way.
