LOCKBUSTERS Locksmiths are delighted to have secured a sponsorship deal with Southport Football Club. 

The independent Southport-based firm has long been a supporter of the club and the local community and said it was “a no-brainer” to become more involved. 

They have unveiled a brand new sponsorship board opposite the main stand at Haig Avenue, and are looking forward to watching the Sandgrounders forward line unlocking opposition defences this season. 

Shaun Huyton, the owner of Lockbusters Locksmiths, said:- “We are an independent locksmith company based in Southport. We do everything from helping people to gain entry, to lock replacement, to lock repair. We also do UPVC maintenance and repairs and can also install aluminium and UPVC products. We are based in Southport and cover Southport and the surrounding areas. When the new owners Kieran Malone and Dave Cunningham took over, we really wanted to get involved.  As soon as the club’s Commercial Manager, Elliott Horan, approached us about a potential sponsorship deal, we didn’t hesitate and jumped at the opportunity. It’s an honour for Lockbusters Locksmiths to get involved and support our local football club and our local community. I have been following Southport Football Club for a few seasons now. This season is amazing, we absolutely love coming to watch the games and enjoying the matchday experience. We are so glad to be a part of it.”

Lynn Huyton, the Secretary of Lockbusters Locksmiths, said:- “I just want to say how proud we are to be sponsors of Southport Football Club. It’s been amazing to watch all the positive changes that have been happening at the club this season. The new owners, Kieran and Dave, have built up this club for the community. They’ve made a huge difference already. It’s a pleasure to be a part of it and we’re excited for the future. When Elliott got in touch with us and offered us the opportunity to become involved, it was a no-brainer for us to become a sponsor at the club.”

Shaun and Lynn have already been very supportive this season and they’ve been coming to pretty much every game. This is a great sponsorship in terms of what they bring to the club, and that is what I really like. It’s not just about the monetary value of the support, it’s also about their involvement and the people they bring along. Shaun and Lynn are very passionate about Southport FC and love being a part of this club. I hope this is the start of a long-lasting partnership, I can only see it growing further.”
