Sefton Council issues statement in connection to the Manchester Synagogue incident
SEFTON Council has issued a statement in connection to the Manchester Synagogue incident. The Council has said:- "We are deeply shocked and saddened by the horrific attack outside a synagogue in Manchester this morning, which has left members of the Jewish community grieving on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in their calendar. Sefton Council stands in unwavering solidarity with our Jewish communities in Greater Manchester, Sefton and across the UK. We condemn this vile act of violence and reaffirm our commitment to the principles set out in the Unity Motion we agreed last year. Sefton is a borough of many faiths, and we are proud of our rich history of diversity and inclusivity. We will continue to support those targeted because of their faith or race, and we denounce all forms of racial hatred. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and all those affected by today's tragedy."
