ACTIVE Sefton are inviting local runners, walkers, friends and colleagues to lace up their trainers and join the Southport 5K on Friday, 3 October 2025.  

The race starts at 5:30pm from Princes Park. Registration and parking will be at Dunes Splashworld.

This fun, social event is perfect for all fitness levels, whether you want to push for a personal best or simply enjoy an evening stroll, the 5km route takes participants around Southport's stunning Marine Lake.

Entry is just £10 and every participant will receive a medal to mark their achievement. There will also be trophies for the fastest male and female finishers. Employees from organisations that contribute to the Active Workforce Programme can benefit from discounted entry of £5. 

So gather your friends and colleagues, dust off those trainers and enjoy a fantastic community event this October, whilst rasing money for a charity of your choice!

We are encouraging people to consider donating to local causes such as The Southport Stronger Together Appeal, Elsie's Story, Bebe’s Hive, Hope’s Help, Alice’s WonderDance, The Southport Hesketh Round Table and North West Air Ambulance
