THE Formby Branch of the Royal British Legion will be holding the following 4 events:-

110TH ANNIVERSARY OF WORLD WAR ONE - 4 August 2024 - 1215 pm, for 12:30 pm, at the Formby Pool - This is to remember the men from Formby who volunteered for the Armed Forces at the outbreak of World War One. The service is to be held outside the Formby Pool which can be found on Brows Lane in Formby - Parking is accessed from Elbow Lane.
V.J. DAY SERVICE - 17 August 2024 - 11:45 am, for:- 12.00 pm - This service will be held outside the Scottish Power Sub-Station on Proctor Road in Formby. This was the location of the gates to Harington Barracks. The majority of the Soldiers who trained there were sent to the Far East. The Service is followed by drinks at:- 'The Harington Café' TO BE CONFIRMED.
POPPY APPEAL RACE NIGHT - 30 September 2024, from:- 7:00 pm to 10:30 pm - This will be held at The GILD HALL which is on Church Road in Formby. For tickets, call:- 07812345005.
MILITARY VEHICLE TRUST DAY - 'Operation Obviate' - 12 October 2024, from:- 12:00 to 4pm - This FREE event is our 2nd event to be held at The Pheasant Inn, near Hightown, which is located on Moss Lane (L383RA). We are hearing they might get a 'Royal Visit!...'
