Southport woman hosts Christmas Makeup Fundraiser after ‘incredible Dad’ died from Motor Neurone Disease
A Southport woman whose Dad died from a form of Motor Neurone Disease 6 weeks ago is inviting people to come and enjoy a special Christmas makeup fundraising event in his memory.
Rosie Cleave, a high net-worth insurance broker, says her Dad, Howard Cleave, was:- “an incredible family man” who was very loved by his family. She is distraught that:- “the most important man of my life is no longer a phone call away” after his tragic death at the age of 69. Many people will recognise Rosie from her part-time role as a food and lifestyle influencer, with thousands of followers on her Rosefeasts Instagram Page. This December Rosie is teaming up with close friend Amanda Borg, one of the top makeup artists in the UK, to organise a unique Christmas Makeup Masterclass Fundraiser. The event will be held at Southport Coaster, which is located on:- Lord Street, within Southport Town Centre (PR81PU), between:- 1pm and 4pm, on:- Sunday, 3 December 2023. Tickets are:- £30 each, and include:-
Every penny will go towards the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
Rosie, aged 36, said:- “Amanda Borg and I are organising a Christmas makeup fundraiser event for the MND Association at the Southport Coaster on:- Sunday, 3 December 2023. This event is being arranged in memory of my Dad who passed from ALS, a type of degenerative motor neurone disease, six weeks ago. He was an incredible man. An intelligent, kind and generous family man. He was a retired engineer who had a passion for medicine and politics. He was proud of the recent fundraising I did for the MND Association last month where I did a sponsored silence over a whole weekend and raised over £2,000. I’m working with over 20 local Southport businesses to make it a really good afternoon of Christmas-style makeup and a raffle with lots of prizes. The masterclass will be taught by local makeup artist, Amanda Borg, who has recently been nominated as a finalist in the top 10 best bridal makeup artists in the UK at the upcoming Beauty and Aesthetics Awards 2023. We aim to sell between 100-200 tickets and raise around £3,000 for the MND Association Merseyside branch.” Rosie is devastated by the loss of her Dad and hopes her fundraiser will provide support for other families whose loved ones are suffering from MND. She said:- “My Dad’s worked as a civil engineer, and we were based overseas all of my childhood life. He constructed offshore oil and gas pipes and platforms. He was a family man and was generous, kind and loving. He was incredibly intelligent and his passions were politics and medicine. I have spent some time with my family in Romania, saying goodbye to Dad. Walking around the seaside my Dad loved. Visiting his beloved boat which was meant to be his retirement joy. He ate at his favourite restaurant and celebrated his life over a glass of his favourite Campari. Saying I miss him is an understatement. I have been filled with grief, regrets, and happy memories. The most important man of my life is no longer a phone call away. Nothing prepares you for the heartbreak and loss, only time will heal. I have had such incredible love and support around me and I’m truly grateful. I want to say thank you to those who have supported me already with my fundraiser for the Motor Neuron Disease Association.” People can book their tickets here or can email Rosie for more details at: rosiefeasts@gmail.com. var _gaq = _gaq || []; _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-5165542-3']); _gaq.push(['_trackPageview']); (function() { var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true; ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ?
