Award winning Irish comedian Ed Byrne brings brand new show Tragedy Plus Time to Southport

BIG Comedy UK are delighted to announce that Irish Comedian Ed Byrne will be bringing his brand-new show Tragedy Plus Time to the Little Theatre Southport, on:- Thursday, 7 March 2024, as part of a national tour

The show, which started with a month long run at the Edinburgh Festival where it is receiving 5 star reviews, has been extended into next year due to nationwide sell-out dates this autumn.

The comedian's brother, comedy director Paul Byrne, died in 2022 of Hodgkin Lymphoma.

Attributed to Mark Twain, humour is defined as Tragedy Plus Time. Ed Byrne tests that formula by mining the most tragic event in his life for laughs.

Ed Byrne is an award winning comedian and household name as seen on Mock the Week, Live at The Apollo, Top Gear and QI. Ed enjoys worldwide acclaim for his live stand-up and remains the master of observational comedy.
