Flood warning for Fouracres and The Crescent at Maghull
THE following warnings have been issued by the Environment Agency. If you are in the areas below:- "You should check the flood risk by signing up for free flood warnings, and keep up to date with the latest situation at:- Gov.UK and follow:- @EnvAgency on X, formerly known as Twitter, for the latest flood updates."
 

Flood warning for Fouracres and The Crescent at Maghull

River levels are high and forecast to rise further on the Whinney Brook and Dovers Brook.

Flooding is possible, affecting locations near Whinney Brook and Dovers Brook, with low-lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around properties on Fouracres and The Crescent which are at risk from surface water flooding.

Further heavy rainfall is forecast this afternoon and into this evening.

The Environment Agencywill continue to monitor levels closely.

Flood alert for River Alt, Formby to Huyton
Updated 12:53pm on 9 December 2023

River levels are rising on the River Alt due to heavy rainfall.

Further heavy rainfall is forecast this afternoon which will cause river levels to rise again.

Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Alt, with low-lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around River Alt and other watercourses from Huyton to Hightown including, Kirkby, Fazakerley, Maghull, Formby, Aughton, Sefton and Lunt.

We will continue to monitor the forecast and re-issue this alert/warning if necessary.

Avoid using low-lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water.

This message will be updated by:- 10:00 am on:- 10/12/2023, or as the situation changes.

Flood alert area: River Alt and other watercourses from Huyton to Hightown including:- Kirkby, Fazakerley, Maghull, Formby, Aughton, Sefton, and Lunt.
