THE Southport Photographic Society has opened its Annual Members Photography Exhibition in Wayfarers Arcade in Southport town centre, showcasing a fantastic collection of images captured by its talented members.

From dramatic landscapes and wildlife to sport, portraits and everything in between, there’s something to catch everyone’s eye.

The exhibition opened on:- Thursday, 27 August 2026, and runs until:- Thursday, 3 September 2026. 

Entry is free, so why not take a stroll through the Arcade and enjoy some incredible local photography along the way?

There are over 100 stunning photos on display on boards inside the main arcade. 

Wayfarers is also currently hosting the Summer Exhibition and Sale by Sefton Artists inside two of the units inside the arcade, which runs until this Sunday, 30 August 2026. 

Again, admission is free, with the group raising funds for Queenscourt Hospice. 

The 2 exhibitions offer families lots to enjoy this August Bank Holiday Weekend. 

Southport Photographic Society Exhibition Co-ordinator Bill Gray said:- “We are delighted to be hosting our exhibition at Wayfarers Arcade in Southport. We’d love to invite people to come and take a look. There are over 100 photographs on display, all taken by our members. We’re looking forward to a busy August Bank Holiday Weekend, while we’ll also be here into next week. We have people from Southport Photographic Society present throughout the event, who will be happy to chat with anyone interested in joining our group, or who is interested in learning more about photography." 

Bill continued:- “Our display is situated inside the main arcade, between the Wayfarers Tea Room and the Pudding & Pie cafe. There will be a range of images on show. Wayfares Arcade is a beautiful venue to host an event like this. There is so much light inside, which is perfect for us. They also have two excellent cafes and some great art galleries, shops and other local businesses that people can explore while they’re there. Hopefully we can help to attract more footfall into the arcade.”
